Alpentanz

Twice a year the Sycamore Folk Dancers put together a large-scale performance based on a region in Europe.  For Fall of 2025, the group presents "Alpentanz".  This show will feature traditional music and dances from Germany, Bavaria, Switzerland, and Austria.  With over 40 dancers and a handful of professional musicians this is sure to be a spectacular cultural event.  

The show will feature traditional songs sung in German, Schuhplattlers, a Maypole dance, and many more traditional dances from the region.  All performers will be wearing traditional German Tracht.  Pair these elements with professional lighting and sound and you are sure to experience this as a high-quality event!

The event is fun for all ages, old and young.  Admission is free, and donations are strongly encouraged.  Please consider seeing us perform at "Alpentanz"!
